SME Activity

List SME committee activity or other participation, including dates and a description of offices held. List your most recent activity first. Cite what you felt were your specific key achievements/contributions in each of those roles. Describe how your involvement has impacted member engagement. Describe your accomplishments/ innovations that clearly resulted in improvements for the future.

Other Professional Association Activities

Describe your role in other professional associations. List the most recent activity first, with significant accomplishments or personal contributions you achieved or made in each of the activities cited. Provide specific information concerning activities undertaken or positions held requiring the ability to plan, lead, organize and direct as it relates to other professional association activities. Statement of Intent - Applicants for SME Member Council

In 150 words or less, please respond to each of the questions shown below.

(1) What specific experiences or skills do you possess that align with the areas of responsibility mentioned in the Member Council role description (public relations, long-range planning, training)?

(2) SME Membership is made up of local chapters, individuals and companies. How would you leverage your expertise, and/or collaborate with other organizational bodies to broaden and diversify SME’s membership base?

(3) Member Council members are expected to advocate for SME. What are your goals and objectives as it relates to amplifying the voice of SME and its impact through SME Membership if elected to the SME Member Council?

(4) Describe any tools or resources you would use to enhance SME Membership’s professional development opportunities, recruitment activities or membership programs?

I understand SME may consult with third parties to verify my academic and professional credentials, and I hereby authorize SME to do so. I further authorize all corporations, companies, organizations, former employers and educational institutions to release to SME any and all information they may have about me that may verify the information provided on this application and release all such parties from any liability for doing so.

I understand the requirements of the office. I will run for election if selected by the Nominating Committee and will serve if elected. If elected, I will resign elected officer positions as specified in the SME Governance Document so as not to serve dual elected offices.
