Ryan Zeng

Not long after joining SME, Ryan Zeng became the chair-elect for Seattle Chapter 39. After two years in this position, Ryan is the current chair.

Ryan enjoys being involved in SME, especially at the local level. The Seattle chapter under his leadership organizes events for local professionals. More importantly, he is working to help bridge the gaps between students and industry. Another goal for the chapter is to promote leading industry technologies to its members. When asked what advice he has for other officers, Ryan responded, “Stay engaged and make an impact.” This is what makes a great chair.

In addition to his commitment to the Seattle chapter, Ryan is also the ASQ Seattle Section chair, VP of Membership & Community for PMI Puget Sound Chapter, executive director of AME Seattle, and vice president of AME West Region.

Ryan is the co-founder and principal consultant for Stream Kaizen, a management consulting firm dedicated to driving excellence through continuous improvement and project management. Before this role, he worked for Carlisle Interconnect Technologies for over 16 years as a global director of Project Management and Continuous Improvement, where he traveled the world.

Currently, Ryan lives in Seattle and enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Evelyn.
