Will Healy III, Global Welding Segment Manager, Universal Robots

Anyone who meets Will Healy III knows that he’s very passionate about manufacturing, but from a people perspective. He knows his stuff and can talk about technology on a variety of levels, explaining Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 to an experienced Ph.D. or to a student, with excellent comprehension.

Where his passion really kicks into overdrive is when he talks about the intersection of people and machines. How a manufacturing workforce cannot simply install new technology but must adopt it – embrace it – thriving in productivity, quality, and throughput that are not possible with humans or technology alone.

Will wears many hats – global welding segment leader at Universal Robots, content creator, keynote speaker, soccer coach, and even ordained minister. The hat you’ll most often see him wearing, however, carries a stylized “P” for his alma mater, Purdue, where he earned his degree in mechanical engineering.

Whether he’s hashtagging his latest post #WorkforceWednesday or explaining to a group of students or an audience of C-suite executives why cobots are the embodiment of people-centric technology, you can feel his faith, commitment, and drive.

Please tip your hat to Will Healy III, one of manufacturing’s passionate proponents!
