Stratasys Ltd. was awarded a 3D Printing Industry Award in the Medical, Dental or Healthcare Application category, the company announced yesterday. The Rehovot, Israel-based company’s PolyJet-based J5 DentaJet, J5 MediJet and J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printers won over a field of nine competitors.
“We are thrilled with this achievement, which acknowledges the transformation our flagship 3D printing solutions are leading in the dental and medical sectors,” says Rani Hagag, chief health care and consumer business officer at Stratasys. “Be it precision 3D printing of dental parts, producing lifelike biomechanically accurate anatomical models or creating full-color multi-material training models, our technology provides healthcare professionals with the solutions to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.”
Other nominees for the medical award included: Axial3D, BellaSeno, Curiteva, Dimension Inx, LimaCorporate, IMcoMET, MB Therapeutics, Osteobionix and Spentys. Dimension Inx was granted an honorable mention in the category.
Stratasys also received honorable mention in the Company of the Year (Enterprise) and Enterprise 3D Printer of the Year (Polymers) categories. Results were revealed on November 30, at the annual 3D Printing Industry Awards ceremony in London. Winners were nominated by 3D Printing Industry readers and selected by committee in conjunction with a public vote.
